TJ Washburn is fundamentally a storyteller. A professional actor since adolescence, his life has so far mostly consisted of wandering around and watching people and trying to make heads or tails of their erratic behavior. And, perhaps too ambitiously, to to tell the truth about what he’s seen. Lately he has chosen to do so from his hiding spot behind a guitar or a banjo, facing down (small) battalions of strangers in dark bars, armed with the only weapons he’s ever been brave enough to wield: a clever twist of phrase and a pandering joke.
