MARYEL EPPS

Maryel Epps is an acclaimed singer, songwriter and actress who has had a long and illustrious career, and is still going strong! She has had the honor and pleasure of opening for Prince, and has performed with a variety of other musical legends, including Patti Labelle, Chaka Khan, Billy Taylor, Bob Dylan, Clark Terry, Dizzy Gillespie, David Bowie, David Lee Roth, and Nile Rogers. In addition, Maryel is the one and only “Queen of the Jazzy/Gospel Brunch”- she originated her hugely successful Brunch in the 1990’s at Lola restaurant in New York, and more recently at Steven Haas’s famous City Hall Restaurant in Miami, where her acclaimed Jazzy/Gospel brunch was a longtime absolute ‘must’ for locals and visitors alike.

Maryel can regularly be found performing at other local music venues, and also performs by invitation at large corporate and personal special events by request. Maryel’s philosophy is simple yet profound: It’s all about music, love and faith. Thus, she is a strong believer in ‘giving back’ to her community, and can often be found giving of her time and talents to support local charity events and organizations.
