KEN BURKHART – Musician/Singer/Songwriter

Instrumentation: Piano/Keyboards/Hammond B3 Organ

Ken Burkhart grew up in Lancaster, PA influenced by the likes of Jimmy Smith on organ and Ray Charles on piano and vocals. Ken began performing and composing his own music on accordion at the age of 6. He then switched to Hammond B3 Organ when he was 15 and also began playing piano at the age of 21.

He traveled the US with numerous jazz, blues, top 40 & country bands. He’s also lived in So Florida where he performed with national recording artists Dizzy Gillespie, Jaco Pastorius and Mike Longo and in RI where he performed with national recording artist Dan Moretti, numerous members of the Artie Shaw Band & Grey Sargent (guitar player for Tony Bennett).

In 2018 Ken toured Europe, performing at London’s Royal Albert Hall, as well as the B-Flat Acoustic Music & Jazz Club in Berlin, and The Bozar Theatre in Brussels.

Ken is known for his passionate performances, incredible improvisational skills and uniquely memorable songwriting. Although he sings and performs a variety of jazz, blues, and funk, it’s his original compositions that audiences ask for again and again.
