Sundown Sound creates eclectic, heartfelt music channeling diverse influences of acoustic rock, Americana, jazz, bluegrass, and progressive alternative genres. Thought-provoking, socially conscious lyrics explore themes ranging from the spiritual and metaphysical, to love, and beauty. Sundown Sound at root is a feeling, one that creates a bond with their audience, while injecting good doses of humor and fun. Hailing from South Florida, the band is comprised of songwriters Mike Matthews (vocals, guitar, mandolin, banjo) and Daniel Wolpin (vocals, guitar), Mano Pila (percussion), and Seven Alliot (upright bass, backing vocals). In these days of AI and computer-generated music-making, Sundown Sound is on a mission to prove that homemade, hand-crafted music is still viable and vital.
Tate Earle grew up playing music in his home state of Vermont. Inspired from a young age to rock, Tate was playing gigs at the ripe age of thirteen. His passion for performance is not over shadowed by his desire to record and write original music. Traces of his favorite influences Santana, Gilmour, Dylan, Lennon and Knopfler are present in his music which offers a melodic blend of Rock, Blues, Funk and Jazz. After graduating with a degree in Music from Bennington College, Tate continued his performances and songwriting, and started teaching music privately.Tate continues to play both solo gigs and band backed gigs in South Florida.
